Potential soon-to-be-true rumor or me just farting as usual: The Raveonettes Live in Singapore

Our sources tells us that Danish noise/garage rockers The Raveonettes may be making a stop at the land of Kimba. The source in question is the same one that dropped the Flaming Lips one on us so we're thinking it's pretty solid. Never mind that it's basically a Jennifer Love Hewitt poster on the side of a dilapidated hawker centre speaking to me in Liam Neeson's voice and calling me 'baby'.

My mom taught me to trust all things, especially the bosom of a beautiful woman and the voice of Aslan.

This Week's Track 9: This is Ivy League - Till the Day

I never told anyone this but I am actually from an Ivy league school. Yeah I know, it's obvious but I still feel the need to point the obvious out. Like oh, there goes Olivia Wilde ... around my arms. He he, yeah, okay scram Ol' Wild One and go get me a lemon lime bitter.

Ah yes, Ivy league, the fun times. When the grass seemed greener, Hulk seemed greener, peas seemed greener. Green Lantern seemed greener. Martian Manhunter seemed greener. The world was just one big green blob (oh wait it is) and I could not ask for a more relaxing color to settle into. I was seriously in love with one of the lecturers. Rumor has it she is the daughter of one of the school's founders. I have a picture wait ...

Cute hair ...

Let's get lyrical, lyrical: Tokyo Police Club - Listen to the Math

You've been famous since your birth
And a silent one it was,
Til they told me it was a girl
And everybody gasped

I know how to raise you right
Teach you how to read
And your maths and alphabet
And how to be polite

You've been famous since your birth
And a silent one it was,
Til they told me it was a girl
And everybody said

You and your atlas know it all
Let the corners curl
Cause if you go by night
You'll hit the coast for sure

It's a ruse, it's a laugh
Experts, they'd agree
Listen to the math
Australopithecine,
Rekindle your heart
These hospital machines
Are state of the art

I've put down my middle name
In the back of her book
And signed it just in case
Our walk was over love

Cause I've got one more up my sleeve
Bring it out tonight
Cause if I am the joke
Then you're the punchline

It's a ruse, it's a laugh
Experts, they'd agree
Listen to the math
Australopithecine,
Rekindle your heart
These hospital machines
Are state of the art

But it's the art of the state
That's gonna keep me awake
I need a second opinion
Not a second to waste

I listen to the math all the time. Like how I am hearing now that 'Australopithecine' is actually an Australian optician who's also into medicine. Oh wait, that's not math. Ah yes, what I heard before was that, 1 Olivia Wilde + 1 Olivia Wilde = 2 Olivia Wildes and 2 Olivia Wildes divided by 2 = me in the middle. What's that Uncle Sunny? Huh ...? 4 Olivia Wildes are better?

Yeah of course, that too.

The Flaming Lips in Singapore in November?

Today, our pet durian told us that the word on the tree is that the Flaming Lips will be dropping by Singapore in November.

I know, I know. The above statement is so completely mindblowing, right? Yes indeed. Our awesomeness has just been magnified by the simple fact we own a pet durian. We actually own a pet papaya and two pet mangosteens too, but they don't tell us much besides what they had for dinner. But our pet durian, on the other hand. Now she's a trooper. The other da...

Eh, sorry? Oh hi, pet papaya. What did you want to tell us?

Pet Papaya: I had mangosteen for dinner.

Oh, you did! Clever fruit. Here, have another one.

Pet Papaya: Can I have dessert later?

Oh sure you can! What were you thinking of having?

Pet Papaya: Durian cake.

Great idea! I'll bake one up right now.

Pet Papaya: You rock. Nice nail polish by the way.

Thanks man. They're durian flavoured.

Pet Papaya: Oh really. Mmmm nice smell...

Gig-gles: The Album Leaf, Malaysia, 7 Sep 2010

There is a very important reason why this picture of last night's Album Leaf gig is black and white. No, I am not trying to make a statement about the colour of the music. Nor am I saying that the dude playing the violin was so hipster that my retinas have lost their ability to detect green and yellow (not blue though).

The reason this picture is black and white is because last night, George my cute little pet skunk decided to kungfu kick a lorry, and the lorry blew up. Now George is a small, shy skunk, so his achievements have made me really pround of him. No really, George wouldn't hurt a tricycle. What the heck, you don't believe me? Hey listen, let me prove to you just how harmless my pet skunk is. Here's a picture I keep in my wallet all the time:

Seeeeee. Isn't he a darling.
